Walter & Judy Schultz

Walter and Judy Schultz, Social Dance instructors at RPM Dance, are Ballroom, Country-Western, and Swing dancers who have created an atmosphere where C&W, Ballroom, Swing-dancers, West Coast Swing dancers, and even shaggers can get together and enjoy a great mix of dancing fun.

Walter and Judy are residents of Portsmouth's Churchland area. Most weeks will find them out three to four times at local social dance events. In addition to dancing at the local night clubs and studios, they travel a few times a year to their favorite Country-Western events.

Some of their favorite events are the Williamsburg Virginia Atlantic Seashore Dance Faire competitions and workshops in early Spring; the Easterns' competitions and workshops, in the Washington DC area, in late spring; and the Halloween in Harrisburg competitions and workshops.

Walter began dancing in 1990 with some introductory lessons at the "Ballroom Dance Club." After a couple years of Ballroom dancing, he was introduced to Country-Western couples dancing by Ballroom instructor, Amy Silva. That dancing, along with the great friends Walter found in Ballroom, molded his desire to combine all styles in his dancing. He is joined by his dance partner and wife, Judy.
